" I have been often asked to tell the difference between SATS and our competition. So
I will do, while try to keep it short.
Other companies may be bigger. SATS is perhaps the oldest Remote DBA service provider in US. In 1994 TCP over PPP dial-up connection was just becoming stable enough to deliver support upon. As we started todo RDBA service in 1994 we realized that there is no monitoring technology which would be good for the level of Remote DBA Service we want to deliver. So we ended up inventing and writing Cerberus. Our competitors who had a later start - never bothered with their own technology. They purchased software which become available on the market. It makes total business sense. If SATS would start later we would also purchase something. Perhaps not. So as it turned we developed Cerberus and so far it is the best technology for our trade, simply because it is developed by people who do this trade. We never use outsourcing - we are an outsourcer. And we keep all our people and "know-how" here at home. We even trained other RDBA Service providers to do this service. Other say that they are leaders, while they build the service on the use of a third party monitoring products designed for different environments and purposes and later adopted to Remote Database Administration needs. Opposite to that, SATS has created so far the Best, and at the time the Only technology for just the RDBA Service in 1996. (Cerberus database and server monitoring system). Over the years, we have evolved the technology into separate software product, while constantly enhancing its core functionality. Cerberus is build by DBAs and for Remote DBA service. Others may still pretend that they are leaders while, using lots of manual labor to provide an uptime and performance for their clients. SATS beats the competition on the quality and prices. Remember, we own our monitoring technology software, and it is still the best technology there is for the Remote DBA service. Everybody speaks highly about their staff members. I just add that because of cost savings due to Cerberus we can afford to hire the best talent in the most expensive area of US. It is technology against manual labor. And of course because we know what we do, so we don't spent time re-inventing the solution - we apply the similar solution out of the experience.
